Our Lady of Good Counsel by Pasquale Sarullo, 19th century.
The Nativity Council of Catholic Women is a parish affiliate of the National Council of Catholic Women. The purpose of the Nativity CCW is to:
Enhance the spiritual lives of its members
Promote fellowship in the Church
Serve wherever there is a need within the Church and the community
Encourage each individual to contribute “time, talent, and treasure” for the good of all.
Our organization meets monthly from September through May. Our meetings consist of social time, an exciting speaker, and a brief business meeting.
Our two primary fundraisers are a craft bazaar in the fall and a rummage sale in the spring. These events and others provide us with funding to support many causes in our parish and the community. Most recently, these have included:
The Nativity Parish
Catholic Argos
Damien House
Alfred-Washburn Center
Purse Club for religious sisters
Father Emmanuel’s Mission in Tanzania
St. Joseph’s free medical clinic
The Alpha center
Majella House
Magdalene’s
Veterans Village of Pensacola
